This is a project that is funded by the People’s millions lottery fund, providing the opportunity to develop a training center for young people to learn new skills that can enable them to move into paid employment within the catering field.
The role asks the volunteer to perform a variety of duties in the kitchen / café counter and to ensure excellent customer experience. Serving customers, preparing food and drinks, clearing tables and generally keeping the café clean, using a till whilst working in a effective team with other volunteers and staff.

Excavation Opportunity - Gwynedd Archaeological Trust
Gwynedd Archaeological Trust are running an excavation at the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways’ Boston Lodge Works, Minffordd, from Tuesday 6th October until Friday 16th October and are looking for volunteers to help out on site. The work will involve the excavation, cleaning, and recording of two gunpowder sheds as well as an area of yard which originally held a storage shed and carpenter’s shop.
Please note that due to a constrained budget there is unfortunately only a very limited budget for volunteer expenses on this job. This also means that on this occasion we do not have the resources to support volunteers with no previous archaeological excavation experience.

Community Cafe Support Organiser - Stroke Association
Cafe Organisers offer support and advice to stroke survivors, families and carers at a local venue, where stroke survivors can buy their own refreshments and chat to their peers. This helps to reduce social isolation and improve confidence and self esteem of stroke survivors. They may arrange various activities at the venue or invite another person to come in to do craft work or give talks.

Learn Together Cymru Volunteer - Volunteering Matters
Volunteers support pupils for a couple of hours each week, in schools or community settings, listening to them read, giving extra help with Maths or other subjects, or getting involved with a range of activities from gardening, to cooking, to drama, to knitting. The important thing is the regular one-to-one interaction (always supervised by teachers or staff.) Just 10 minutes a day listening to children read can make a huge difference to their overall ability and confidence.
