Are you keen to help more people understand what life was
like for people with a learning disability living in long-stay hospitals in
Wales?
If you are a creative person or someone looking for
creative experience, wanting to make a difference in your local community,
wanting an opportunity to work as part of a team, or wanting to learn more
about learning disability history, then this could be the perfect role for you!
As an Exhibition Volunteer, you will be supporting the
Hidden Now Heard project to design, create and manage a temporary exhibition,
which will be capturing what life was like for staff and patients who used to
live and work at long-stay hospitals/institutions.
The exhibition will be looking into Bryn y Neuadd
hospital in Llanfairfechan, with the exhibition taking place at the brand new
Storiel Museum, in Bangor.
You will help to design the exhibition, and then present
the exhibition to any visitors once the exhibition is live. This role is suitable for people aged
16+. For further information, contact
