Young Volunteers Scheme– WITH

WITH’s Young Volunteer scheme is for young people aged 14-25. This scheme involves working alongside our volunteer support worker every Saturday afternoon between 2pm-4pm to complete tasks vital to the smooth running of our farm. With support, young volunteers will work through a practical course of horse care and volunteering skills. This course will enable young people to gain the skills and experience required to volunteer independently at WITH or other local organisations in the future. No previous experience required.  For further information, contact Mantell Gwynedd on 01286 672626 or volunteer@mantellgwynedd.com

Outdoor Education Volunteer– Wild Elements

Education is at the heart of Wild Element’s activities. Whether it is on one of our Forest School programmes, archery sessions, playschemes or adults’ bushcraft activities, we aim to teach as many people in North Wales about the great outdoors and healthy living as possible. To do this we need the help of volunteers with drive and enthusiasm, who enjoy learning new skills in the outdoors and passing on those newfound skills to other people. In volunteering in this capacity, you will help to ensure that we deliver high quality sessions that people will enjoy and remember.  For further information, contact Mantell Gwynedd on 01286 672626 or volunteer@mantellgwynedd.com

Site Volunteer– Wild Elements

Wild Elements use the natural woodland to run our events, but they still need plenty of work to make sure they are safe for use when we run our playschemes. That’s why we have a group of volunteers to help us organise and arrange the site so it is people friendly and safe for use. This role is essential in ensuring that Wild Elements is able to run its activities in areas that are safe, tidy and well managed. You will be helping to ensure that everyone who joins us for a session is safe and happy on our sites.  For further information, contact Mantell Gwynedd on 01286 672626 or volunteer@mantellgwynedd.com

Gardening Volunteer – Wild Elements

Wild Elements’ outdoor experience doesn’t end with our Forest schools and playschemes. We work with the local community to produce gardening projects to help enrich the community in simple ways they wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to do. Not only that but Wild Elements has its own plot of land that requires regular care and we would like your help to do it.  For further information, contact Mantell Gwynedd on 01286 672626 or volunteer@mantellgwynedd.com

Marketing Volunteer - Wild Elements

Part of Wild Elements’ mission is reaching people. We want to grab the attention of people who do not identify as being outdoorsy and get them outside and closer to nature. To do this we need people who can engage with the public and get them interested in what we do. Both online and in person, we need to be able to communicate with people in North Wales and engage their interest in what we do. By volunteering in this role, you will be helping to ensure that Wild Elements reaches as many people as possible, and that our events are well marketed and publicised.  For further information, contact Mantell Gwynedd on 01286 672626 or volunteer@mantellgwynedd.com

Online Library Volunteer Seeing Ear

Working from home and in your own free time, you will help us add books to our online library. Our free online library provides books in a flexible format to support readers who need books in an accessible format due to reasons such as visual impairment, dyslexia or a physical disability. You will be editing, styling and formatting MS Word files and we will give you all the training you need for this which again can be done at home via email. Every book you go on to edit will provide another opportunity for someone who struggles with reading ordinary books to take pleasure from reading or get a fair chance at education. We are currently working on an exciting new project working with schools to support children who need books in this electronic format and we want to give every child the opportunity for a fair chance in education and to be engaged with learning.
