Hospital Cafe and Shop Volunteer – RVS, Ysbyty Gwynedd



RVS  shops, cafĂ© and trolley serve hospital patients, staff and visitors with the added warmth of friendly understanding volunteer. 
Volunteers are needed to help run the service, serve customers, take payment , prepare drinks or snacks and provide a listening ear.

Bardsey Island Volunteer – Bardsey Island Trust


 
We are looking for volunteers who would like to spend a minimum of one week on Bardsey Island in the period between March 2017 and October 2017 to help with a range of ongoing projects and tasks.

Good Neighbour Volunteer - Royal Voluntary Service


 
Volunteers visit an older person to provide companionship and practical support. This relationship is design to decrease loneliness and build the older person's confidence to help them improve their own quality of life. Schools Service (Emphasis on Welsh Speakers in Gwynedd) - Childline


 
Volunteers are needed to deliver ChildLine Schools Service to primary school children, with focus on 7 - 11 year olds.  Volunteers will be using Assembly Presentations and Classroom Workshops in order to increase children's understanding of keeping safe e.g abuse (including bullying).  There is a greater need for Welsh speakers particularly in Gwynedd.  For further information, contact Mantell Gwynedd on 01286 672626 or volunteer@mantellgwynedd.com

Rhodedendron Clearance - Y Dref Werdd


 
Rhododendron (Rhododendron ponticum) is an invasive species to Wales. Y Dref Werdd will be clearing the invasive species from the premises of Llechwedd a local business. Y Dref Werdd is a Lottery funded environmental community project in the Bro Ffestiniog area. One of many projects Y Dref Werdd has is the ‘Rhododendron Clearance and Control project’ which intends on clearing areas where Rhododendron is present. Marketing Volunteer - Wild Elements


 
Part of Wild Elements’ mission is reaching people. We want to grab the attention of people who do not identify as being outdoorsy and get them outside and closer to nature. To do this we need people who can engage with the public and get them interested in what we do. Both online and in person, we need to be able to communicate with people in North Wales and engage their interest in what we do. Wild Elements’ outdoor experience doesn’t end with our Forest schools and playschemes. We work with the local community to produce gardening projects to help enrich the community in simple ways they wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to do. Outdoor Education Volunteer - Wild Elements



Education is at the heart of Wild Element’s activities. Whether it is on one of our Forest School programmes, archery sessions, playschemes or adults’ bushcraft activities, we aim to teach as many people in North Wales about the great outdoors and healthy living as possible. To do this we need the help of volunteers with drive and enthusiasm, who enjoy learning new skills in the outdoors and passing on those newfound skills to other people. Site Volunteer - Wild Elements


 

Wild Elements use the natural woodland to run our events, but they still need plenty of work to make sure they are safe for use when we run our playschemes. That’s why we have a group of volunteers to help us organise and arrange the site so it is people friendly and safe for use. This role is essential in ensuring that Wild Elements is able to run its activities in areas that are safe, tidy and well managed. Night Stop Volunteer - Digartref Cyf




Do you have a spare bedroom??

Volunteers are needed to provide a bed, evening meal and breakfast for 1- 3 nights (expenses reimbursed) as emergency accommodation for young people (16 - 25). 

 

Digartref will also provide payment of £15 per night + travel for volunteers.
