We need someone with experience of marketing and/or publicity to support Samaritans branches promote the great work they do!
You will work closely with branches to:
-Promote events
-Plan and co-ordinate marketing campaigns
-Take part in organisation-wide events
-Ensure they have the latest marketing materials
-Plan for local events
-Respond to requests from the media

Macular Society -
We are looking for a number of volunteers who are willing
to spare their time to help distribute our biannual newsletter ‘Macular
Matters’. The newsletter helps us to raise awareness of macular disease and
raise funds to help us continue our work. It is produced in May and November, so
if you are able to spare some time in these months and would be happy to
distribute it in your local area to places such as eye clinics, GP surgeries,

Cafe Befrienders offer support and advice to stroke
survivors, families and carers at a local venue, where stroke survivors can buy
their own refreshments and chat to their peers.
This helps to reduce social isolation and improve confidence and self
esteem of stroke survivors. They may
arrange various activities at the venue or invite another person to come in to

Fundraising Group Member - Tenovus Cancer Care
We couldn’t do the work we do without the wonderful
support of our Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care groups. We’re looking for
volunteers to join our existing groups or start their own brand new group in
their area!
‘Friends of Tenovus Cancer Care’ groups come together to

Volunteers for the National Eisteddfod, Anglesey 4-12 August – Welsh Centre for International Affairs
Welcoming visitors to the stand, dealing with their
enquiries and supporting them to participate in activities and resources
provided for them. To support other
activities on the festival site including promoting our work and seeking public
opinion through vox pops, staged surveys and a debate.
Home visitor- 'Living Well with Hearing Loss' project – Action on Hearing Loss
The project aims to ensure that people in North Wales can
live well with hearing loss. This is done by supporting people in their homes
to learn how to use assistive equipment. This is a joint project between CoS -
Centre of Signs/Sight/Sound (formerly NWDA) and Action on Hearing Loss so
volunteers will be registered with both organisations.
Duties and responsibilities
Duties in this role will include-

how assistive equipment works

home visits to people with hearing loss
• Help
people with hearing loss learn how to use assistive equipment

posting people to other organisations

Hafal Volunteer – Porthmadog
We are Wales’ leading charity for people with serious
mental illness and their carers. Covering all areas of Wales, Hafal is an
organisation managed by the people we support: individuals whose lives have
been affected by serious mental illness.
Underpinning our services to clients is our own unique
Recovery Programme. Based on modern principles of self-management and
empowerment, Hafal’s programme offers clients a methodical way of achieving
recovery by focusing on improving all areas of their life.
Volunteers are needed to help run sessions for our
service users in Porthmadog.
Sessions range from: Literacy and numeracy, Computer
skills, Arts and crafts, Board games, Cooking, Adult colouring, Walking groups, Tea
and coffee morning. Snack and chat (for carers), Fundraising.
Arfon Foodbank Volunteer
Volunteers help by sorting and dating the food donations,
organising the store and filling shelves, as well as preparing food parcels. It
is volunteers who greet, comfort and record the details and needs of our
service users. More infrequently the foodbank host a special food collection
(or fundraising drive) at a local supermarket, and we depend heavily on
volunteers for those events. This

Volunteer Guide/Leader on Walks for Visually Impaired People – Snowdonia National Park
Snowdonia National Parc Authority organise monthly walks
for blind and visually impaired people. The walks are usually held on the 3rd
Wednesday of the month in the National Park and surrounding areas. We are looking for experienced walkers who
know the area well who could help with organising and leading the walks.

We are looking for a group of volunteers to play a
crucial role in raising both funds and friends for North Wales Deaf Association.
You will help recruit other volunteers to get involved in planning and

Shop Assistant – Hospice at Home
The Hospice provide free palliative care for people in
North West Wales who have cancer and other life threatening illnesses. They

Activity Club Helper – Girls Friendly Society
Can you help us to set up a group for girls and young
women in your locality?
Since 1875 we have been providing opportunities for girls
and young women to develop their self-esteem, confidence and emotional well
being. Our clubs meet weekly in term time and cater for girls from 6 - 25. The theme of friendship underpins our work,
where a single gender environment supports learning of interpersonal and social
skills, co-operation and development of confidence. Our groups differ according
to the skills and interests of our volunteers. Sessions with younger girls can
include include games, crafts, cookery, music, trips out and a short time for
reflection. For young women we provide
sexual health and life skills training.
Volunteer leaders organise and assist with the general
running of the activities and are available to talk with the girls and young
women and to be an appropriate role model. Full support is given to set up a
group, including financial help and training.

Event Volunteer – RSPB Cymru
The RSPB is the biggest conservation charity in the
UK. We are quickly losing our birds,

Stewards for Caderman Triathlon – Bloodwise
For a fun and rewarding day out come and help steward the
Caderman Triathlon on Saturday, August 5th 2017. It starts at Tywyn Beach with
a swim, then a cycle through Dolgellau to the foot of Cader Idris and finishes
with a run up it (see link below). You will also get to see some famous Welsh
rugby players who will be participating in the event!
The Caderman Triathlon is an opportunity for volunteers
to help organise an enjoyable and worthwhile day which will raise money for
crucial research and support for those affected by blood cancers. We ensure our
volunteers are part of the team and that they can develop new skills and
confidences which also help those looking to pursue careers in charity
fundraising and events management .
