Moving Forward Volunteer - Breast Cancer Care Cymru
We understand that a person’s need for support doesn't end
when treatment finishes. Our Moving Forward services and information are for anyone
living with and beyond breast cancer, helping them approach life after
treatment with increased confidence.
Volunteers help by:
• Assisting in setting up and
clearing away at the beginning and end of the event
• Meeting and greeting participants
on arrival and making them feel welcome
• Helping with provision of
refreshments
• Talking briefly about your role as
a Breast Cancer Care volunteer/or Breast Cancer Care services
• Talking briefly about your personal
experience of breast cancer
• Talking to participants during
breaks
• Offering support to participants if
they become upset or need to leave the room
• Signposting participants to Breast
Cancer Care’s other services where appropriate (or other local services if
relevant).

Bethesda Beaver and Scout Leaders and Section Assistant
This is an exiting opportunity to be part of a team of volunteers setting up a new Beavers Scout section in 1st Bethesda Scout Group. No previous experience required! Beavers is for girls & boys aged 6 - 8 years old. There are volunteering flexible volunteer opportunities to suit you involving planning and running a varied program of games & activities with the Beaver Scouts. Scouting is about having fun and making new friends, it's great to enhance your CV and make a contribution to the lives of young people and your local community. The group will meet on Tuesdays in Bethesda, Gwynedd 5.45 - 6.45pm.

Groundwork North Wales are participating in the Big Energy Saving Network... and need your help!
The programme offers in depth support and advice to vulnerable consumers, in order to reduce energy usage and cut fuel bill cost....
Just in time for winter, volunteers will receive formal training with a champion and then hold informal advice sessions with local community groups.
