GOFAL
is a befriending and enabling service that is provided to people over the age
of fifty in Wales. The aim of the service is to alleviate isolation and
loneliness and encourage social interaction and emotional well-being. For some
clients this can be achieved by the provision of regular phone calls
Typical
tasks include:
•Providing
a listening ear and friendly voice on the telephone
•Maintaining
up to date records and call logs etc.
•Signposting
to any other relevant services
Bearing
in mind confidentiality, passing on any concerns or highlighting any issues of
a suitable nature to the Manager.
