Volunteer (various roles) – MS Society (Gwynedd a Môn)


We are looking for a variety of people mainly to help with administration, creating newsletters, promoting branch activities on-line, campaigning and fundraising. We are looking for volunteers who can use their initiative. 

There are roles for committee members as well including a treasurer role for which some IT skills are required along with the need to attend committee meetings (held in Anglesey on the evenings). 

We are open to suggestion and happy to be flexible to match volunteers to roles. 

Training is also available.

Occasional Events Volunteer - RNIB


We’re looking for someone to provide ad hoc help and support at various events in your local area. You could help with collections for an hour, registering people, giving out leaflets, t-shirts or refreshments, taking part in cheer squads, acting as guides and stewards and exercising guide dogs. This is the perfect opportunity if you have limited availability but still want to get involved.

Befriending Volunteer – The British Red Cross


Our aim is to provide support to individuals in their own homes to enable them to live as independently as they can.
 
We offer valuable time-limited support for individuals over 50 who are vulnerable to crisis.  

Typical tasks include
•Visiting individuals in their own homes, once a week
•Giving emotional support, and a listening ear
•Helping someone rebuild their confidence by supporting them on trips out into the community, for example, taking them to a local social group
•Giving information to people on other support that may be available to them in their community such as other charities and social activities
•Keeping a record of contact and activities undertaken with the service user

Volunteers required to run 'drop in' sessions, where members of the public can call in with queries or problems using the basics of the internet-how to get online,use search engines,email and general everyday use. We are not looking for technical wizards, just people who enjoy helping others, and have mastered everyday internet use. Sooty Box Volunteer - Wales 9469 RNIB


Are you friendly and outgoing? We’re looking for volunteers to join our team to visit shops, pubs and leisure centres in your local community. We need volunteers to find homes for boxes, empty boxes already placed and help to coordinate our Sooty Box volunteers.  Due to insurance requirements, you must be aged 18 or over to do this role.  

What Will You Be Doing?

Build relationships with local retailers; Place Collection Boxes in agreed outlets; Find new venues for Collection Boxes; Count, record and bank money.  Maybe you are interested in encouraging owners/managers to place a new Sooty collection box. Pact is a highly respected independent charity, working across England and Wales to develop and deliver a range of innovative services, providing practical and emotional support to prisoners, their families and to ex-offenders. As the result of developing a series of successful strategic partnerships, Pact’s subsidiary, Pact Futures, has recently been selected as a preferred provider of
Transforming Rehabilitation services, delivering a combination of 1-1 case work for offenders resettling from prison into the community and drop-in support groups. To deliver this project we require a team of Through the Gate volunteer mentors.  Age Requirements – 18+

Activity Session Assistant - Carers Outreach


Carers Outreach is an organisation that supports parents and carers over 18 years in North West Wales .

Volunteers are needed to help during Carers Outreach activity sessions.
