Visitor Experience – Caernarfon Poppies (Storiel)


 
Working specifically with the Poppies, you will welcome visitors to Caernarfon Castle, assisting with directions and enquiries in a positive and friendly manner, and helping people to get the most out of their visitor experience. Community Panel Member (21+) – Gwynedd Môn Youth Justice Services


 
The volunteer will be asked to be part of Community Panel Meetings as part of the Bureau (prevention) and Referral Order (post Court) Process.
 
The Bureau is an initiative to tackle low level offending, which enables Young people to make amends for their actions without Police intervention. The Panel Meetings are normally held across Gwynedd and Anglesey, and they are made up of a Chairperson, the YJS Police Officer and a Community Volunteer. 

The Referral Order is a Court Order which is given to a young person who pleads guilt to their first offence. The young person will then be required to attend a Community Panel Meeting where 2 Community Volunteers and a YJS staff member will create a Contract of work for the young person to work through for the duration of their Order. Hospital Cafe & Shop Volunteer, Ysbyty Gwynedd – Royal Voluntary Service



 
RVS  shops, café and trolley serve hospital patients, staff and visitors with the added warmth of friendly understanding volunteer. 
Volunteers are needed to help run the service, serve customers,, take payment , prepare drinks or snacks and provide a listening ear.

Befriender- Barmouth area - The Royal Air Forces Association


 

A Befriender carries out visits to and keeps in touch with members of the RAF family (clients), on behalf of the RAF Association. To provide companionship and outcome focused support to a client and to ensure that they remain part of the community and feel socially connected to the wider RAF family.

Being a Befriender volunteer could be about helping someone who is isolated through the use of social media or visiting an older person that has become increasingly lonely and isolated over time and to help find them new interests in the community. It could be about occasionally helping out with practical assistance, such as mowing the lawn or it could be about going along with someone to an evening exercise class or sports club to help them meet new people. The role is varied, the scheme spans all ages and it is flexible to suit everyone.

Witness Service Caernarfon Court Volunteer – Citizens Advice Cymru


 
The Witness Service provides practical and emotional support and information to witnesses so that they feel valued, respected and informed and able to give their best evidence in court.
 
Main duties and responsibilities include meeting witnesses away from the court environment, either at their home or other agreed safe place, to assess their needs and provide support. Together with the witness, and where appropriate their carer/ support worker/ parent/ guardian, develop a tailored plan of preparation and support.
 
The purpose of this preparation and support is to help reduce their anxiety and trauma and enable them to give their best evidence. Welsh Women’s Aid – Helpline Volunteer (women only role)


 
To provide a confidential information and signposting telephone helpline service to people experiencing domestic abuse and sexual violence, and to those contacting the service on their behalf.
 
To evaluate and minimise risk to callers who are experiencing domestic abuse and sexual violence.
 
To refer callers to appropriate support services making use of the Women’s Aid online vacancy system where necessary.

Pact is a highly respected independent charity, working across England and Wales to develop and deliver a range of innovative services, providing practical and emotional support to prisoners, their families and to ex-offenders. As the result of developing a series of successful strategic partnerships, Pact’s subsidiary, Pact Futures, has recently been selected as a preferred provider of
Transforming Rehabilitation services, delivering a combination of 1-1 case work for offenders resettling from prison into the community and drop-in support groups. Home visitor- 'Living Well with Hearing Loss' project – Action on Hearing Loss


 
The project aims to ensure that people in North Wales can live well with hearing loss. This is done by supporting people in their homes to learn how to use assistive equipment. Are you aged 14-25? Can you help us make our museums more attractive to young people? We are looking for creativity, fresh ideas and most importantly your voice - to speak up and influence decision making at Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales.
 
We have a Youth Forum at each of our Museums across Wales. Young people aged 14-25 are encouraged to be partners in decision making and organising activities. The forums will explore the views of young people and will address issues they think are important. Cycle Ride Leader (female) – Welsh Cycling (18+)


 
Be part of a women's only project to get more women cycling - Breeze.
 
Breeze offers women flexible, safe, accessible and fun opportunities to ride a bike. These rides are free, friendly and open to women of all ages and abilities
