Hospital Shop Volunteer Wednesday 4pm - 7pm – RVS, Ysbyty Gwynedd

RVS  shops, café and trolley serve hospital patients, staff and visitors with the added warmth of a friendly understanding volunteer. 

Volunteers are needed to help run the service, serve customers, take payment and provide a listening ear.

Team member in exciting community theatre project – Gisda


Mae Gen i Go’ is the the varied and exciting project that has been led by GISDA since January 2017. So far it has connected with people of all ages and backgrounds, all with one thing in common- something to say about Caernarfon.

Since the beginning, the aim of the project has been to give a voice to the people of Caernarfon and to use that voice in a creative way.

The climax of the project will be a creative piece, combining theatre, art and community work that will be a part of Gŵyl Arall (Another Festival), happening in Caernarfon on the 7-9 of July. We are looking for volunteers to join us in creating this innovative event.

Requirements

Volunteers will need to be free to volunteer from the 3rd to the 9th of July
Volunteers will need to love working as a team
Volunteers will need to be open-minded in terms of what makes a ‘positive creative experience’ 

There will be a free lunch every day and there will be a daily allowance available for all volunteers.  This role is suitable for people aged 15+

Minibus Driver – Penrhyn Castle


Minibus Drivers provide a shuttle service for visitors to and from the car park.  The service is mainly aimed at visitors who have difficulty walking, but it’s open to everyone.  It’s all about making sure our visitors have a great experience when they come to us.  This role is suitable for people aged 21+

Collecting fundraising cans volunteers – St David’s Hospice


The Hospice fundraising department depends on the generosity of those who give in order to keep the Hospice doors open for patients locally.  Collecting cans which are placed in the community alone, raise in excess of £20,000 and there are in the region of 500 collecting cans places across the communities in which the Hospice serves in shops, retail outlets, cafes and pubs. 

The Hospice is looking for volunteers to take on the role of a collecting can round which is determined by geographical location.  A number of geographical areas are possible and there are more than one role available.  Couples and friends are welcome to take on this role in pairs too.  

The collecting can roles are regular and predetermined so a collecting round sheet will be provided and the regularity of collections mutually agreed prior to starting the role.

Based at St David’s Hospice, Abbey Road, Llandudno, LL30 2EN but travelling to various geographical location or a mutually agreed geographical location.

Art Host – Penrhyn Castle

Part guide- part steward,  Art Hosts are specially trained to talk to visitors about the sculptural installation sited within Penrhyn Castle created by our Artists in Residence, Walker & Bromwich. 

What's involved?

• Welcoming every visitor
• Sharing your passion for contemporary art and inspiring others
• Learning more about Walker and Bromwich's large scale sculptural work so you can share your knowledge
• Helping visitors to discover more about the Artists in Residency project and art at Penrhyn Castle

Hijinx Unity Festival Volunteer – Hijinx Theatre

Here are the voluntary roles we are looking to fill for Unity 2017: 

Monday 5th June - Friday 1 July - Leafleting - Sparing an hour to hand out leaflets around Caernarfon town centre and taking leaflets into local shops and cafes. 

Wednesday 28th June - Saturday 1 July - Front of House - Providing information, signposting, handing out programmes and collecting audience feedback at all of our ticketed shows and free performances at Galeri Caernarfon. Volunteers wanted who can do either the whole run or just for one or two performances. 

Friday 30 June - Schools Day - Providing information, signposting, and collecting audience feedback. 

Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 July - Stewards - Handing out leaflets, encouraging audiences to gather, looking after and providing information to audiences during performances and collecting feedback after performances. We'd like to hear from volunteers who are available for the whole time or part of the weekend.

Dog Fostering Volunteers – Protecting Preloved Border Collies


We are a national charity providing a safety net for border collies from a variety of situations, who are in need of a new home. You can find out more at our website:

We need short and long term fosterers to provide a caring environment for our dogs while they are assessed for the most suitable setting for their forever home. Previous experience with border collies is desirable but not essential.

Support Group Volunteer - For Those Trying to Become Parents – Fertility Network UK

Do you have experience of fertility issues? Particularly of trying to become parents?

Fertility Network UK are looking for volunteers who are interested in setting up a support group in the local area of Wales (if there is no current support group available).

As a Support Group Volunteer you will:-

Act as main contact for the group
Organise and maintain an email circulation list of attendees
Arrange speakers for group meetings
Organise room bookings
Organise social activities
Support and advise other group volunteers
Adhere to Fertility Network UK policies and procedures 

Fertility Network UK provides advice, information and support to anyone affected by fertility issues. We raise awareness of the impact of fertility problems and campaign for fair provision of fertility treatment throughout the UK. Males and females welcome to apply.
