Retail Assistant – Barnardo’s Cymru


Our Volunteer Retail Assistants are trained to undertake a wide range of activities including:

* Providing strong customer service.
* Serving customers at the till.
* Taking receipt of stock donations from the public, thanking them for their generosity and finding out if they are Gift Aid Donors.
* Signing up new Gift Aid Donors (this raises an extra 25p per pound for Barnardo's from the sale of donations and does not cost donors anything).
* Replenishing stock by making sure our rails and shelves are well-stocked, visually appealing and tidy.
* Merchandising throughout the store.
* Stock preparation including sorting, steaming and pricing.
* Possible administrative tasks such as stocktaking.

Stock Room Volunteer (Charity Shop) - Barnardo's Cymru


Working behind the scenes is as important as being on stage! As a Stock Room Volunteer, your key role will be to make sure that quality stock is made ready to go on sale in the store.

*Sorting and organising stock in the stockroom so that the area is kept in order.
*Working behind the scenes to help to hang, size, steam and price stock.
*Making sure all stock is safe and in working order.

Records Assistant– Gwynedd Archaeological Trust


The purpose of this role is to help archaeologists and the public to use archaeological records that are not currently available in digital format. Dementia RED Support Volunteers – Alzheimer’s Society

You will be responsible for acting as a representative of the Alzheimer’s Society externally maintaining contacts with GP surgeries. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and experience of providing information and support. Information Points will be situated and staffed in GP surgeries. The ‘Dementia RED Care Information Centre Point’ will help people concerned about or with cognitive problems / dementia, carers / families and relevant others to acquire appropriate information and signposting to community support services providing much needed support. Provide information to individuals through the distribution of appropriate information and signposting to supporting people to live well with dementia and access community support services.

Independent Living Volunteer - British Red Cross 'Home from Hospital scheme'


Our Home form Hospital scheme aims to help people resettle into their homes following a stay in hospital. As an Independent Living volunteer who you will undertake various tasks from assessing what the service users’ needs are, to transporting the service user home and making sure they have essential food supplies. Retail Assistant - Tenovus Cancer Care


This is a role where you’ll be making sure our customers are getting the best shopping experience possible. It’s all about making sure that the shop looks good, there’s money being made and our customers know what their support means to the work we do. It’s a busy role where one minute you’ll be sorting through our bags of donations to the next where you’re steaming, hanging and pricing our stuff to sell. Visitor Experience Volunteer - STORIEL (Gwynedd Museum and Art Gallery)


Are you interested in art and history?  Do you have a few hours to spare each week?  Storiel are looking for dependable individuals to support Storiel staff in providing the best visitor experience for everyone. Colour Run Volunteers 8th of May 2016 - ST David's Hospice


Would you like to help volunteer at the colour run which will be held at Glan-Y-Don / Abererch Beach, Pwllheli. We are looking for powder throwers, help with registration and car park marshals. All volunteers will be awarded a certificate for their efforts. Group Volunteer – Gwerin y Coed


Gwerin y Coed are passionate about community engagement and education for social change, particularly with young people.   We are looking for volunteers to help provide a programme of fun and educational activities with our groups (aged 3-15yrs) in Penrhyndeudraeth.

This is a project that provides the opportunity to develop a training center for young people to learn new skills that can enable them to move into paid employment within the catering field.

The role asks the volunteer to perform a variety of duties in the kitchen / café counter and to ensure excellent customer experience. NSPCC Schools Service (Emphasis on Welsh Speakers in Gwynedd)

Treasurer – Cylch Meithrin Seiont a Pheblig


The nursery Groups are managed by a Committee which usually includes parents who bring different skills to the group. Cylch Meithrin Seiont a Pheblig is one of the largest nursery groups Gwynedd with 52 children on the register.

You will not need to use 'Payroll' as this element is paid to Mudiad Meithrin to do so but the role does mean that the duties will include being in with the Department of Employment of Mudiad Meithrin on a monthly basis.

North Wales Pride 2016 event volunteer


Cymru Pride Wales are seeking volunteers to help out during the North Wales Pride 2016 event. The event will be held on the weekend 1st-3rd July 2016 at Hendre Hall on the outskirts of Bangor.

We have various opportunities available including car parking attendants, camping field attendants, assisting the entertainment team (welcoming special guests and general run around), assisting with the main reception/welcome desk team, questionnaire volunteers - asking guests for their views, assisting with ensuring guests enjoy their time at the event and other related tasks. Above all, you will feel part of a friendly team and contribute towards the success of this 5th North Wales Pride event!  Suitable for volunteers aged 18+
