Fundraising groups can be great fun, and provide you with
a real opportunity to make a difference in your community. Working closely with
the rest of the group, Fundraising Group Members will actively engage in the
organisation of collections and community events in the geographical area
covered by the Fundraising Group.
Main tasks - Become familiar with the work of Marie Curie
in general and Marie Curie services in their local area in particular, regularly
attend and participate in group meetings, sending apologies to the Secretary
when unable to attend, become involved in activities and events that the group
are organising, such as helping with street and supermarket collections,
servicing collection tins and Daffodil boxes in the community, putting on
community events, like tea parties, coffee morning, sponsored events, and
helping spread the word of the work the charity does within your community.
