Heritage story and material collectors – Welsh Women’s Aid

Forty Voices, Forty Years is an exciting heritage project being led by Welsh Women’s Aid in collaboration with George Ewart Evans Centre for Storytelling at the University of South Wales. The project aims to capture the history of Welsh Women’s Aid and commemorate our work to end violence against women, with a collection of oral histories, digital stories, exhibition and archive materials from women and services who have been instrumental to our movement in Wales.

The project will enhance our understanding of the violence against women movement in Wales, and improve community knowledge about violence against women and our work to prevent it.

We are seeking the support of female volunteers with suitable skills and an understanding of and interest in the issue of violence against women in Wales to work in local areas across Wales to support the Forty Voices, Forty Years Project Associate. Full training will be given. For more information visit www.welshwomensaid.org.uk/joinus
