Zoology Visitor guides – Opening of Brambell Natural History Museum at Brambell Building 2015

A great opportunity to contribute to the visitor experience at the Natural History Museum, Brambell Building, Bangor University. The main aspects include greeting visitors on arrival in a warm, engaging way, assisting with providing general information and guidance to visitors and providing more detailed information about key exhibits and displays. Invigilating the Museum to ensure that specimens do not get damaged and assisting with security so that visitors do not wander to any other parts of building.
Knowledge and background in natural sciences is essential and training will be provided on the collections held at the Museum.
This role will be on an as needed basis as currently the Museum is not open to the public apart from open days, e.g. Science Festival and Open Doors Festival. It is envisaged that the Museum will open on a more regular basis e.g. once a month eventually.
