Wales for Peace is seeking personal accounts related to
Wales' contribution to peace over the last century. It is a little-known fact that Basque
children fleeing the Franco regime were sheltered in Old Colwyn. There is very little evidence of this by now
and the idea of the Book Club is to read a novel based on this and other
aspects of Welsh History with a group of adults in order to prompt accounts
personal to them, their family and friends about this and other periods in
history. With the permission of the
individual, these accounts can be recorded in a way agreeable to them and they
will be included on our website.
