Become a volunteer ranger and help to look after a
section of the National Cycle Network near your home. You’ll be expected to
carry out agreed tasks such as checking for missing or broken signs and
replacing them, carrying out general tidy ups and clearing back encroaching
vegetation, reporting any major issues on the routes and attending group
workdays and signing rides. There are also lots of opportunities within the
role to help promote walking and cycling within your local community, through
activities such as attending events and leading walks and rides.
We are looking to find new volunteers who are self
motivated, and live close to or travel regularly along the NCN. As a minimum
you must check your section of route once a month and report back.
