Volunteer mentors are required to work with our
participants to overcome social isolation and develop social integration. Many
of our participants face language and cultural barriers having recently moved
or taken refuge in the UK. The role of the volunteers is to support
participants in overcoming these barriers by befriending and regularly meeting
up with participants in an informal setting (e.g. coffee shop) to provide
support and and opportunity to socialise.
